MOVA / Remortgaging Advice
Remortgage advice.
Make your next choice clearer.
A deal ending, a change of plans or a different borrowing need? Review the options with Steven before deciding whether to stay with your lender or move.
Initial conversation at no cost · No pressure to proceed
Start with what matters to you.
You do not need to choose a product before getting in touch. Bring your plans and your questions; Steven will help you understand the next step.
Three things to clarify
Compare your remortgage options.
Start with the end date
Bring the current deal, balance and any early repayment charge into view.
Compare the whole cost
A rate is one part of the picture. Fees, incentives, term and flexibility matter too.
Choose around your plans
Discuss a move, income changes, overpayments or additional borrowing before selecting a new deal.
Staying and switching are different routes.
A product transfer means choosing another deal with your existing lender. A remortgage usually means moving to another lender and going through its application process. Steven can help you understand the available routes and the work, costs and conditions involved.
A smaller monthly payment can have a trade-off.
Extending the mortgage term can reduce the payment while increasing the total interest paid. Adding fees to the loan can also increase the cost over time. A useful comparison looks at your immediate budget and the longer-term effect.
- Review the remaining term as well as the new rate.
- Ask about overpayment rules and charges if your plans change.
Borrowing more needs its own assessment.
Tell Steven what any additional money is for. Securing previously unsecured debts against your home can put the property at risk, and spreading repayments over a longer term can increase the total cost. Debt consolidation should not be treated as a routine way to make monthly spending look lower.
Your questions, answered
Clearer on the detail.
Ready for the next step.
Have a question that is specific to you?
When should I start the conversation?
Get in touch before your current deal ends so there is time to explore the options. The right timing depends on the deal, lender and your plans.
Do I have to change lender?
No. Keeping your existing lender may be an option. The decision should reflect the overall cost, suitability and process involved.
Will remortgaging definitely save money?
No. Rates, fees, the remaining term and your circumstances all affect the result. MOVA does not promise a saving.
A practical next step
Talk through your plans
with Steven.
An initial conversation can help you understand where to start and what information may be needed next.
Your home may be repossessed if you do not keep up repayments on your mortgage. There may be a fee for mortgage advice. The amount will depend on your circumstances and will be explained and agreed before you choose to proceed.
